چکیده
Background: Oxidative stress and the mild inflammatory process present in diabetes play a critical role pathogenesis of disease its comorbidities. This understanding has opened new avenues targets for developing improved treatments since risk factors associated with may be reduced through non-pharmacological interventions. In this sense, plant extracts could efficient preventing or assisting these pathological conditions treatment. Methods: Diabetes mellitus was induced 24 rats, which were allocated 4 groups: Control (CT), Control+Baccharis (CT-B), Diabetes (DB), Diabetes+Baccharis (DB-B). For 28 days, animals CT-B DB-B groups treated, via gavage, B. dracunculifolia extract at 50 mg.kg-1. Results: The DB group presented higher values than on parameters such as creatinine (26.42%), urea (31.42%), triglycerides (60.80%). Creatinine (0.39±0.01 e 75.0±8.4, receptively) equivalent to CT (0.32±0.01 71.7±5.4) (0.39±0.01, 58.8±4.5). The treatment levels fasting glucose response tolerance (32%), insulin (52,17%) lipid peroxidation (liver 33.33%, kidney 38.77%) when compared group. Conclusions: phenolic compounds anti-inflammatory activity Baccharis responsible hypoglycemic effect observed study.

Background: Empagliflozin, selective glucose-sodium inhibitor of the latest drugs in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Diabetes induced hypogonadism disrupts sexual function. There is a direct relationship between reducing blood glucose and reduced libido. In this project, the anti-diabetic drug Empagliflozin in addition to treatment has been studied, in terms of effect on sexual function. Met...

BACKGROUND: Zinc (Zn) is one of the most important essential elements in the body of animals and plants. Zinc plays a significant role in the structure of more than 300 different proteins and in many life supporting biochemical and metabolic processes such as cellular respiration and protection against free radicals. Nanoparticles of zinc are the new form of Zinc used in cosmetic and personal c...
